First off, if you're reading this, then thanks for being persistent in following my 2nd build. It seems that at last, I'm ready to start. For those who wondered what happened in December, fortunately my illness was campolybacter food poisoning and not anything more serious!!!
So why has it taken me 3 months to set to with the drill and rivetter you ask? Well, a combination of factors have prevented me from setting to in the workshop, with our first child on the way, some fairly major building work at home has taken precedence. Once that was done, my 'job' workload went manic - so bang went 3 months build! Actually, I was hoping to be at the closing stages of the build by now would you believe! Still, these things are best not rushed and I've resigned myself to having to do the build over a longer period. I need to get as much done before May as possible though, because once the baby arrives.... well, I'm sure you know the score!
I'm going to take a week off, the week that I was supposed to have in December!, so that I can really crack into the build and get it to rolling chassis stage. This starts at the weekend (I promise), so stay tuned and I guarantee the website will be receiving regular updates once more.
Thanks for checking back :)
